In response to the recent violence at the hands of police brutality and racial injustice, the Summer 2020 Edition features updated imagery to support the movement of peaceful resistance. In addition, each copy features a printed insert of Patrick Kigongo's 'The Black List,' aimed at supporting Black-owned brands, shops and organizations within skateboarding and stickers designed in part by Stoke Much. Finally, certain key updates have been made to the text to reflect events from early 2020.

The Next Wave is a new skateboarding history book that details 1999-2020. Propelled by dozens of exclusive features and interviews with skateboarding’s most prominent riders, company owners and industry members, the text provides a comprehensive look into the highlights of the past several decades. With the support of several noted photographers, the book also serves as a visual testament to skateboarding’s recent developments.

This book has been published in partnership with the Skateboarding Hall of Fame and Museum in Simi Valley, California. By donating proceeds to the SHoF, this book will help further their efforts to generate exposure in the name of skateboarding history.
